The Founder

Jocelyn Peters is a licensed member in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and an active member of Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). She graduated with honours from CDI College, holding a Canadian Immigration Consulting Diploma.

She successfully processed her own residency and Canadian citizenship status while helping her parents and friends with their applications out of love and goodwill. Her passion towards guiding fellow immigrants has led to establishing Volte Intercontinental Visa and Immigration, Inc. The objective is to accomplish a high rate of successful immigration applications, this is possible because of her dedication and focus. Her keen eye for detail ensures fulfillment and achievement of your exact objective.

She made many friends in the business community and am aware of the skilled labour shortages in Canada. After the last few years of upheaval around the world the labour pool seems to be smaller then ever. With this in mind she applied and received a licence from the B.C. Government to recruit employees from around the world.

Moreover, before immigrating to Canada, Jocelyn completed two Bachelor of Science degrees under academic scholarship. She brings ten years of Human Resources experience to her role as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a Licensed Temporary Foreign Worker Recruiter as a result of working with a top performing company listed across Asia Pacific.

In summary, she enjoys helping others who are looking to Canada to make a fresh start and assist in filling labour shortages impeding economy growth.

The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the College) licenses and regulates Canadian immigration and citizenship consultants in the public interest. It was created by an act of the Canadian Parliament: The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act (Canada) (“the College Act”). In June 2019 the parliament passed this act.

The College regulates immigration and citizenship consultants in the public interest and protects the public by:

  • Establishing and administering qualification standards, standards of practice, and continuing education requirements for licensees.
    • This is done by offering Practice Management Education (PME) program for Licensed Immigration Consultants to maintain satisfactory professional competency.
    • Maintaining RCIC’s up-to-date knowledge in immigration by requiring licensees’ yearly hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
    • Directing RCIC’s practice and documentation comply with the CICC’s regulation
  • Ensuring compliance with the Code of Professional Conduct
  • Undertake public awareness activities.

The Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants is the organizing body dedicated to protecting and improving Canada’s immigration system. It represents RCICs and establishes codes of conduct within the industry.

CAPIC was founded in 2004 through the amalgamation of the Association of Immigration Counsel of Canada and the Organization of Professional Immigration Consultants, based on the pillars of Education, Information, Lobbying, and Recognition.

The organization’s immigration industry history dates back in 1986 with core values focused on respect, professionalism, integrity; positive, inspiring and creative environment; transparency and accountability and best of all member value creation. Today, with more than 2000 members, CAPIC is not only the largest but also the only existing non-profit association for Canadian immigration consultants. They continue to grow and evolve as a direct response to dynamic changes within the immigration consulting industry.
